Cabargo Folk Festival

Starting out as a small celebration in 1997, the Cabargo Folk Festival is developing into one of Australia’s premier music and recreation events.

The Festival is held at the Cobargo Showgrounds and consists of over 200 Australian and international performers. It is usually held on the last weekend of February.

The beautiful rural surroundings offer the perfect backdrop to the festivities, with nearby towns, such as Bermagui, Narooma, Tilba and Bega offering close by and affordable accommodation

The festival is family friendly which means there are great opportunities for the kids to enjoy the great music and dancing.

How to get to Cabargo?

By road: Cobargo is about eight hours’ drive from Melbourne, five hours from Sydney, and three hours from Canberra.
The Cobargo Showground is about half a kilometre out of town on the Cobargo Bermagui Road. Follow the signs.

By bus: Interstate buses pass through Cobargo. Premier Motor Service (Tel. 133410) (From Sydney or from Melbourne)

By air:  There are regional airports at Moruya and Merimbula, each about an hour’s drive away. REX (Regional Express) Airlines flies to the region from both Sydney and Melbourne.
