Fishing at Mogareeka Inlet – South Coast NSW
Mogareeka Inlet is a popular fishing area with locals.The Inlet is an irregular south-facing beach that varies in nature and size depending on the state of the inlet. At times it forms a continuous beach, at other times it consists of a series of up to eight pockets of sand in amongst the backing 20 m high bluffs and rocks.
Where is Mogareeka Inlet? About a 5 minute drive north of Tathra. Drive along the Tathra Bermagui Road, just over the the Bega River bride, turn right into Bay drive.
Boat Ramp – There is a boat ramp located under the princess hwy bridge.
Fishing Experience at Mogareeka Inlet
Mogareeka Inlet consists of rocky enclaves and small secluded beaches. There’s an offering of both beach and rock fishing.
To catch Bream, Mullet and Whiting it’s best to use beachworms, pippies, prawns or fresh nippers. For Salmon, Tailor and Gummy Sharks, pilchards, fresh fish fillets or stripy tuna all work well.
