Horseshoe Bay – Bermagui Main Beach – Sapphire Coast NSW
Bermagui is the main beach in town. The town over looks it, and is the centre and hub of swimming and sporting activity.
Where is Horseshoe Bay? – Head to Bermagui and you can’t miss it. Plenty of car parking and picnic areas.
Swimming – The beach itself is about 1.5 – 2kms long, and is well protected from gusty winds, unless a strong southerly is blowing. The swimming conditions itself are ideal, with waves rarely over 1 metre. For the more adventurous try the reef to reef, about 400 metre from one end to another.
Fishing at Horsebay – Generally good conditions, with most activity on the rocks to the north and south of the beach. Likew most places along the Sapphire Coast, the main beach at Bermaui Beach is an ideal place for fishing. Good gutters along the rocks and excellent surf fishing also. Bream, salmon, Mulloway and flathead are the dominate species.
Picnic – Relatively easy access. Good amenities, with electric BBQ’s, hybrid toilets and picnic tables, Aragunnu beach is a popular place for picnics and social gatherings.
