Haywards Beach (Camels Rock) – South Coast NSW
Hayward’s Beach is one of the main surfing beaches on the south coast of NSW. The beach is otherwise known as Camels Rock, due to the camel like volcanic rocks nestled in the shallows.
Where is Haywards Beach? – About 6 kilometres north of Bermagui, on the Wallaga Lake Road.
Swimming at Camels Rock – Hayward beach is known for its great swells, and is a surfing mecca among locals. The beach is 5 kilometres long, with vast golden sands. Surf can be a little tricky at times when the northerly is blowing pretty strong. On the other hand if there is a strong southerly the waves may become a little choppy. This beach is not idela for young kids. The nearby Horsebay beach will be a better option.
Fishing at Haywards Beach – Great for Salmon and Tailor – The nearby Moorehead beach is also a good option.
