Merimbula Point overlooks the entrance to Merimbula lake. It’s very remote part of Merimbula and quiet tricky to get to. Due to this, offshore fishing is usually the best. Snapper, trevally, King fish, and gigantic flathead are the order of the day.

Where to Fish?
Middle beach along the Point is well regarded. There are rocky ledges which create great casting platforms.
Merimbula Point offers good rock fishing for salmon, tailor and kingfish with the odd tuna thrown into the mix. Be extremely careful of hazard swells. A fishermen lost his life at Haycock Point a few years ago.
Off shore Long Point (GPS -36.903717, 149.960546) is also a popular spot. Kingfish, Tuna, Mackerel are commons species.
