Breakaway Beach – Near Bermagui NSW
Small isolated beach just a short drive south of Bermagui. Beautiful yet extremely hard to find and get down to.
Where is Breakway Beach? – About a kilometre south of Bermagui on the Tathra Bermagui Road, you will find a small unmarked car park. Beware as there is a steep climb down which is not great for little kids. It is hard to get to.
Swimming – It’s a beautiful isolated beach, however may be a little rocky. There is a plethora of great rock pools, which make it ideal for snorkelling.
Fishing – If you can carry the fishing equipment down the steep track, you’re half way there. The rocky ledges produce a great launching pad. Good for smaller fish such as bream and garfish, which end up in one of the many rock pools. Bring a floater.
Picnic – There is a car park but no amenities. Not ideal.
