Gillards Beach (Mimosa National Park) – Sapphire Coast NSW

Wow! What a beach, Gillards beach is one of the most popular beaches on the Sapphire Coast and certainly throughout the Mimosa National Park.


 

Where is Gillards Beach? – To get there turn off the Tathra-Bermagui road onto Gillards Road, about 5km south of Tanja and 9km north of Tathra. Southern part of Mimosa Rocks National Park.

Swimming – Several kilometres of golden sand backing onto dense bushland. Great for surfing and swimming. The perfect Aussie bush beach.

Fishing at Gillards Beach – Gillards beach is a great fishing spot. Plentiful species of salmon, bream, tailor and whiting are all common. At night jewfish and gummy sharks become an option. Best time after 7.30pm in the summer months, around dusk.

Picnic – Plenty of amenities, as it’s next to a fantastic camp site. (Gillard Beach Camping Grounds) – BBQ’s, toilets. Tables are a  plenty.
