Bar Beach – Merimbula NSW

A small 300 metre beach overlooking the entrance to Merimbula Lake. Be careful as submerged rocks can cause trouble. Best known for its magnificent views


 

Where is Bar Beach? Located at the entrance of Merimbula Lake. On the left side of Spencer Park. Close to the Merimbula Aquarium and Wharf Restaurant

Swimming The beach overlooks the entrance to Merimbula Lake. So when swimming, be careful of passing boats. Small waves, a great swimming beach. However be on the lookout for submerged rocks.

Fishing – The channel running into Merimbula Lake is great for whiting, flathead and luderick. Further across into Merimbula Lake Flathead is always in abundance. Best time change of tides

Picnic – Bar beach is ideal for picnics. Plenty of amenities, including a viewing area. One of the best spots to have a beer or two and enjoy the surroundings. Great for kids and the elderly.
