Picnic Beach

Picnic Point Beach – Sapphire Coast NSW

Located on the Wapengo Lake Road, 25 minutes south of Bermagui is the beautiful Picnic Beach. Behind the beach is one of the most secluded, yet highly recommend campsites on the Sapphire Coast. (Picnic Point)

Where is Picnic Beach? – Approximately 30 minutes south of Bermagui.  From Bermagui, head to the Tathra – Bermagui Road.  Take a left at the Wapengo Lake Road. The road leading to Picnic Point is a private road.

Swimming -The beach is broken up by large volcanic rocks, divided by beautiful golden sandy beaches. Relatively shallow in parts, it’s a perfect swimming beach.

Fishing at Picnic Point – Rock ledges at the northern section of the beach, make for a great fishing experience. Bream, flathead, luderick and gummy sharks are a plenty. Best time is at dusk.

Picnic – The rugged coastline is a safe haven for wallabies’, bats, possums and kolas and of course the occasional snake. Plenty of amenities, perfect for a great picnic.
