Festivals and Events in and around Tathra – NSW

Tathra Wharf to Waves Weekend – 16 & 17 January 2016 – One of NSW’s premier swimming events. Each year over 500 people jump from the historic Tathra Wharf and swim to the beach in the Tathra Wharf to Waves Weekend. Other events include, a 2km Beach Fun Run and a Bega to the Beach 30km Mountain Bike Ride. A market day is also held on the Sunday in front of the Tathra Surf Club, and the finale of the weekend will be a live performance at the conclusion of the swim and presentations on the Sunday at the Surf Club.

SCULPTURE BY THE SEA – Canberra Day Long Weekend.
Sculpture by the Sea is part of the Seaside Festival in Bermagui – a short drive north of Tathra – Beautiful sculptures scattered along the beautiful foreshore.

TATHRA FISHING COMP – AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND and Easter Weekend
A two day fishing comp with great prizes. Boats venturing out from Kianinny Bay to the ‘shelf’, or just hanging around the wharf and Tathra’s main beach.

TANJA ARTIST TRAIL – Easter Weekend
Each Easter local artists along the Tanja Trail (Tathra-Bermagui Rd) open their studio doors for a meet and greet. It is a chance to see artists at work along the most spectacular coastal bushland in the world.

Tathra Cup day – First weekend of Janaury
Located on the the picturesque Kalaru site, Tathra Cup is a long held tradition for the locals and tourists alike. If you like punt, on one of NSW’s most best country race track then the Tathra Cup is for you
